Neutri
Web Platform / Desktop App
Neutri is an AI-powered shared viewing experience designed to make watching videos and films feel less passive and more meaningful.
Instead of watching alone and scrolling away, Neutri sits beside the viewer, prompting reflection, conversation, and emotional connection during and after watching content.
The project explores how AI can act not as a productivity tool, but as a quiet companion that helps users slow down, notice, and think.
Problem Statement
Watching videos has become a passive experience, where meaningful moments are quickly replaced by the next piece of content.
Existing platforms prioritize engagement and speed, but overlook reflection and human connection.
Neutri is designed for people who often watch videos or films alone, but wish they had someone to share the experience with.
They value emotional resonance and thoughtful conversation over fast consumption.

Pain Point
Viewers often finish watching content with lingering thoughts or emotions, but have no natural space to express them.
Existing social platforms prioritize performance and visibility, making reflection feel shallow or forced.
How might we?
How might we design a viewing experience that supports reflection and shared presence without social pressure?
How might AI gently encourage conversation and emotional processing, rather than simply recommending more content?
Problem Solution
Neutri creates a shared space for discussion during the viewing experience.
Users can share their screen in real time, allowing everyone to look at the same content and respond together, similar to how people already communicate through tools like Zoom, Google Meet, or Discord.
Alongside this shared visual context, Neutri introduces lightweight prompts that encourage reflection without disrupting immersion.
The focus is on enabling conversation and connection around what is being watched, rather than maximizing engagement metrics.
User Flow Diagram
The Reflective User Flow was designed to minimize disruption while maximizing emotional continuity.
Each step in the flow is optional and intentionally lightweight, allowing users to engage only when it adds value to their experience.
By prioritizing timing over frequency, Neutri avoids forcing interaction and instead supports reflection at moments that feel natural.

Shared Viewing
Reflective is a design system that supports users in processing what they watch.
Through lightweight prompts, shared discussion moments, and Insight Cards, Neutri helps users stay with their thoughts instead of immediately moving on.
The goal is not to analyze content, but to preserve emotional and cognitive continuity after viewing.
Reflective
Insight Cards capture meaningful moments during or after watching content. Instead of disappearing into a feed, key reactions, thoughts, or emotional highlights are distilled into simple cards that users can revisit later.
These cards act as a personal archive of what stood out, turning viewing into something remembered, not just consumed.
Insight Cards
Technologies
Neutri analyzes video context and timing to determine when interaction feels natural, avoiding disruption during key moments.
Video Streaming & Processing Technology
A language model supports reflective dialogue, allowing the AI to respond with empathy and open-ended prompts rather than factual explanations.
AI Conversation System
Enables seamless conversation during or after viewing without breaking immersion.
Real-Time Interaction Layer
With Neutri, I wanted to explore how AI could feel less like a tool and more like a presence.
This project challenges the assumption that engagement must be loud or fast, and instead asks how technology can create space for thought, emotion, and connection.
